<p>PURPOSE:To surely separate a transfer material without using a separation pawl, to prolong the life of a thin tube being a fixing roller and to obtain the device at low cost by forming a steep bend part having the radius of curvature smaller than the radius of curvature of the tube on the surface of the thin tube. CONSTITUTION:In this fixing device 10, the bend having the radius of curvature (r) smaller than the radius of curvature R of the tube is formed near the downstream side in the carrying direction P of the transfer material 9 with respect to a nip part 24' between the thin tube 20 and a rubber roller 22 by denting the tube 20. As for a bend forming means, a pressing lever 24 functioning as a pressing member for denting the tube 20 is provided and formed to be V-shaped, then attached so that it can turn centering around a shaft 25 at its bend part. A solenoid 27 functioning as a moving means is coupled with one end of the lever 24 through a pin 26, and the other end thereof is constituted as a projected body 28 formed to have a specified round part. Thus, the transfer material is surely separated from the surface of the fixing roller without using the separation pawl.</p> |
