PURPOSE:To provide a toner supplying device for preventing toner from overflowing from a toner chamber upon toner replenishment with a toner cartridge. CONSTITUTION:This device comprises a toner sensor 12 for detecting the amount of toner in a toner chamber 11, a toner supply port cover 14 which opens or closes upon toner replenishment of the toner chamber 11, a restricting member 15 for restricting the opening or closing operation of the cover, a motor 16 moving the restricting member 15, and a controller 21 for controlling the motor 16. The opening or closing condition of the cover 14 is resticted according to the amount of toner in the toner chamber 11. |
