PURPOSE: To provide a sheet element for effectively transferring a X-ray pattern into a pattern of the visible light or the light of a wavelength to which a photoelectric transfer element has the sensitivity, with high resolution. CONSTITUTION: The fine mesa arrays having the side faces 25 inclined by about 20-45deg. to the base surface, and a top face 30 in parallel with the base, are formed on a translucent base sheet 10 at an interval smaller than the desired resolution. The alkali-halogenated phosphor such as CsI is accumulated on the base by a means such as vacuum evaporation, by the thickness of 30-1000μm, and annealed at about 150-300deg.C. The phosphor is hardly accumulated on the mesa inclined face, and is accumulated on the base surface in the shape of column in the vertical direction. The base surface is cracked much in the vertical direction, when the annealing is performed. Then a light reflective substance such as Al, is accumulated on the same, or a protective film is formed. Accordingly, the light transferred from the X-ray is not diffused in the transverse direction in the phosphor film because of the cracking and the column structure, thereby the high resolution can be obtained.
