PURPOSE:To provide such an excellent supporting body for a resin-coated paper type image forming material that the surface of the paper base where an image forming layer is to be formed is coated with a polyethylene resin layer, trouble of causing of irregular peeling in the production process of the supporting body is significantly improved, and thereby, good appearance with high gloss of the image forming material is obtd., good adhesion property of the image forming layer is obtd., and the supporting body has good workability and can be stably produced. CONSTITUTION:In this supporting body, a paper base on which an image forming layer is to be formed is coated with a resin layer consisting of a resin compsn. essentially comprising a polyethylene resin. The polyethylene resin in the resin compsn. consists of a polyethylene resin produced by polymn. with using a metal metallocene polymerization catalyst, a polyethylene resin produced by using a metal polymn. catalyst except a metal metallocene polymerization catalyst, and a polyethylene resin having long-chain branches produced by high pressure method. Mw/Mn (Mw is the weight average mol.wt. and Mn is the number average mol.wt.) of the polyethylene resin component in the resin compsn. is >=4. |
