PURPOSE:To provide a word processor and a scrolling method for scrolling a display document so that a cursor can be positioned on the central line of a screen at all times and an editing target sentence can be always positioned at the center of the screen. CONSTITUTION:At the time of an editing mode, a cursor K on the screen of a display device 5 is positioned on a screen center line M. When it is necessary for the cursor K to move to the other line as the result of editing processing, and entire displayed document is scrolled up or down just for the required number of lines and move to the target line while positioning the cursor K on the central line M. Thus, since the editing target sentence can be positioned at the central part of the screen while always fixing the cursor K on the screen center line M, when performing editing while referring to the preceding and following lines of the editing target sentence, a user can efficiently perform editing. |
