PURPOSE:To prevent smear of ink and to eliminate such inconvenience as an item not to be marked looks like a marked item by disposing a tubular guard on the outside of an pot tip. CONSTITUTION:The marker comprising a tubular pot tip 2 fixed to the lower part of an ink pot 1, and a core 4 having the forward end projectable/retractable downward through the pot tip 2 is further provided with a tubular guard 7 on the outside of the pot tip 2. The guard 7 has outer diameter larger than that of the pot chip 2 by 0.8 mm or thereabout and the thickness of about 0.2mm with the forward end of the guard 7 being located at a position lower by 0.8mm than the forward end of the pot tip 2. This guard 7 blocks the scattering of ink from the pot tip 2 to the outside or the adhesion of ink to the outer side face to the pot tip 2. In other words, the ink scattered to the outside is prevented from striking against the inner face of the guard 7 and being scattered furthermore. |
