PURPOSE:To obtain a developing device capable of suppressing the generation of an image defect and maintaining an excellent image over a long time by pressing developing carriers each other with magnet bodies. CONSTITUTION:Plural developer carries 3a and 3b carrying a developer on their surfaces 1a and 1b and simultaneously, having the magnet bodies 2a and 2b fixed inside are provided and pressed each other by the magnet bodies 2a and 2b. Therefore, the gap between the carriers 3a and 3b is regulated smaller and the developer flows in-between, to make the thickness of the layer of the developer smaller. Thus, the developer layer is made thin to obtain high image quality. Moreover, the carriers 3a and 3b are in clockwise and counterclockwise rotational directions respectively to obtain the flowing of the developer shown by the mark F, so that the flowing F of the developer passes through one side I of a place where both carriers 3a and 3b are in contact and the developer is leveled. Consequently, unevenness in the concentration of the toner is eliminated and the generation of a developing ghost is suppressed. |
