PURPOSE:To already store the data of a small area within a three-dimensional space in a high speed buffer when a light ray processor requires the data of the small area, in order to shorten processing time. CONSTITUTION:The data of all the small areas in three-dimensional space is stored in a main storage 4. An area searcher 8 predicts the small area where the processing of a light ray professor 3 is next shifted based on the information from the light ray processor 3, referring to an area control table 5 and a buffer control table 7, and passes the small area to an address generator 9. The address generator 9 generates the address information within the main storage 4 and the address information of a free buffer within a high speed buffer group 6. This address information is buried, a switch network 10 connects the memory bank within the main storage 4 and the free buffer within the high speed buffer group 6 and the buffer reads the data of the small area from the main storage 4 before the processing of the light ray processor is actually shifted to the predicted small area. |
