摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the cell delay fluctuation of a virtual channel by measuring the number of cells of the same virtual channel and virtual path identifier stored in a common buffer, and outputting it after a cell interval on the virtual channel is more than a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:When the cell arrives the device, a virtual channel (VC) identifier and a virtual path(VP) identifier are identified by a VCI and VPI identifying part 1, and the actual cell is stored in a common buffer 211. On the other hand, an address on a buffer 121 is written in an address storage memory 134 of the VC identifier, and one is added by a waiting cell counter 133. A cell interval counter 132 counts a lapse time since the cell is outputted from the command buffer 121 by each VC, and the counter 133 counts the number of the cells in the buffer by each VC. When the cell interval of the counter 132 is more than the prescribed value, an outputting request is issued to a VC competition control part 4. Therefore, the delay fluctuation of the VC can be reduced, and a memory capacity can be reduced.
