PURPOSE:To prevent the shift in the position of a color filter layer and the occurrence of surface creases and ruggedness and to obtain superior surface smoothness by placing the color filter layer and the substrate sheet of a transfer sheet on a substrate and then dissolving the substrate sheet. CONSTITUTION:The substrate sheet 1 of a transfer sheet is made readily soluble and nonelastic. A color filter layer 3 and the substrate sheet 1 are placed on a desired transparent substrate and the substrate sheet 1 is dissolved by contact with a liq. which dissolves the substrate sheet 1 but does not dissolve the color filter layer 3. An interposed layer 2 is a transparent layer parting the color filter layer 3 from the substrate sheet 1 and the layer 2 is optionally used. The color filter layer 3 consists of red, green and blue layers 3a, 3b, 3c and is formed by various means. The transparent substrate is bonded to the color filter layer 3 and then brought. into contact with the liq. which dissolves the substrate sheet 1 but does not dissolve the color filter layer 3. |
