PURPOSE:To widen a margin to many valued recording by sizes of marks and to increase the recording capacity of the medium by suppressing the heat transmission in the approximately flat parts between guide grooves to a radial direction. CONSTITUTION:The approximately flat parts between the guide grooves 1 and the guide grooves 1 for tracking of the optical information recording medium for executing recording and reproducing of information by light are provided with two pieces of the grooves 2 in parallel with the guide grooves 1 to suppress the heat transmission in the flat parts to the radial direction. The heat transmission in the radial direction is hindered by the grooves in the case of forming of recording films on the groove shape. The power of the recording beam increases in the central part and decreases nearer the outer side when the recording medium is irradiated with the beam 4 of the low recording power. The recording marks 6 are, therefore, formed in the parts 5 between two pieces of the suppressing grooves 2 and the recording marks are not formed in the parts 7 between the suppressing grooves 2 and one guide grooves 1. |
