PURPOSE:To prevent a soft toner for color images from sticking to a layer forming member by using a resin with resiliant property as the base material of a developer thin layer forming member, and including a specified ratio of specified metal powder in the base material. CONSTITUTION:Toner in a developer container is softened with a mixer 7 and conveyed onto a developing roller 2 through an intermediate roller 4 and given with electric charge through a layer forming member 3 and a thin layer is formed on the roller. As the base material of the layer forming member 3 a resilient resin, e.g. silicone rubber is used, and in the base material metal powder of which volume average particle dia. of 5 to 10mum and ion potential is 4.5eV less is contained with the volume ratio being 10 to 60%. The metal powder is selected from a group composed of Ni, Al, Zn and the ionization potential of 3.0-4.5eV is preferable. With the constitution, even if a soft toner corresponding to the formation of color images, no sticking to the layer forming member 3 is generated so as to ensure stable toner layer formation and charge of toner. |
