DISTORTION MEASURING METHOD FOR CATV SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To perform the ON/OFF of an output signal from a head end and the amplification factor control of an amplifier inside the head end for measuring a distortion rate at a measuring point when measuring the distortion rate of a CATV system. CONSTITUTION:A head end console 7 for sending a control signal 701 for the remote control of a spectrum analyzer 10 and a head end 1 for the measurement of the distortion rate from the monitor terminals of CATV relay amplifiers 5-1-5-n through a directional filter 6 is connected. A head end control panel 50 provided with both a function for turning on/off a signal transmitter such as a TV signal processor 11-1 inside the head end while receiving the control signal 701 and a function for varying the amplification factor of an amplifier 30 inside the head end 1 is connected to the head end 1.
