Monitoring and alarm device for the maintenance of the compensating gas springs of up-and-over doors, comprising, according to the invention, the testing body (12) formed by a steel bar on which strain gauges are fixed; this bar is fixed to an adjustment slide (cursor) (6) fastened to the jamb (upright) of the door. The rod of the gas spring (3) is fixed to the testing body (12) by means of a fork (17) and of a steel pin.
