This component (1) consists of two elements (11, 12) forming a jaw at one of their ends and articulated to one another at their other end. This articulation consists of a curved wall (15) of one of the elements, in which the cylindrical end of the other element can be inserted and can pivot. According to the invention, the elements (11, 12) comprise complementary means (20, 21, 22, 23) forming a limit stop, preventing them from sliding longitudinally with respect to each other when they are in a close-together position, or along their normal pivoting travel, and delimit a slot (18) into which can be engaged an insert made of elastic material capable of preventing relative pivoting of the elements (11, 12) above and beyond their normal pivoting travel. <IMAGE>
