PURPOSE:To provide a method and device for insepecting a color filter for a liquid crystal display element capable of reducing the erroneous recognition of an operator and improving inspecting efficiency. CONSTITUTION:In the method of inspecting the color filter 4 for the liquid crystal display element constituted in such a manner that plural kinds of single color filter elements 4R, 4G and 4B are arranged so as to correspond to a picture element unit with a prescribed regulation, on a transparent substrate 1, light except one transmitting the specific single color filte element of the color filter 4 is shut off by openings 81 and 82 formed on a mask 7 and only the light transmitting the relevant specific single color filter element is observed to inspect transmissibility in each of the single color filter elements 4R, 4G and 4B. |
