Hydraulic, adjustable vibration damper for motor vehicles with a damping piston fixed to a piston rod, which piston divides the working cylinder into two chamber halves filled with damping fluid, at least one valve reacting as a function of the pressure being provided in a bypass arranged parallel to the valves of the damping piston and an adjusting device, a control element which can be acted upon in the closing direction by a pressure medium, being provided for control of the bypass, an axially movable pressure transducer, sealed off on the circumference, being arranged between the pressure medium and the control element, a spring force counteracting the pressure medium being assigned to the pressure transducer.
