Method and device for controlling contact wires (trolley wires)

In a method for controlling the contact wire in overhead contact rail systems, it being the case that the position of the contact wire is determined inductively and an electric measuring signal is fed to an evaluation electronics system, the invention proposes that a radio frequency is generated and fed into a segment of the contact wire, and that an antenna is guided within this segment at a distance from the contact wire and approximately transverse to the contact wire, a magnetic field being induced in the antenna, and that the position of the radio frequency and thus of the contact wire is determined with the aid of the arrangement of a plurality of coils in the antenna. The invention further proposes an appropriate device for carrying out this method.
