A servomotor having a rotation position detector comprises encapsulation, a shaft which is mounted in the encapsulation, a rotor which is mounted on the shaft, a stator which is mounted on the encapsulation or is integrated with it and surrounds the rotor, and a rotation position detector having a stationary part and a part which can rotate with the shaft. The stationary part of the rotation position detector is inserted into an opening which is formed in the encapsulation and is fastened from the outside of the encapsulation by means of fastening means, and means are provided for the electrical connection of the rotation position detector to that part of the stationary part which is located outside the encapsulation.
