<p>The lip rouge constitutes deodorised polymers contng. pigments and forms a pellicular film. The polymers, contng. some water, pref. 25-60%, as the only solvent or vehicle, coat the insol. pigment. The pigments are the same as those found in fatty rouges. Pref. the water sol. polymers, which become insol. and impermeable after drying, are mixed with solvated polymers contng. plastic resins which, after evaporation of water, form an elastic plastic film covering the lips and sticking to the mucous membrane. The coloured film dries quickly, is impermeable to soft or salted water, does not leave traces on handkerchiefs, serviettes, cigarettes, cups etc. and does not crack.</p> |
