The thumbwheel 24 of a multi-position switch having an open-sided casing 12 closed by a printed-circuit board 26 and side panel 37 has a semicircular opening 23 contiguous with a radial slot 29 such that the wheel can be placed on a shaft 22, integral with casing 12, and slid forwards to cause peripheral lugs 27 to extend through a slot 19 in the front wall of the casing, whereupon a key member 30 is fitted into slot 29 to retain the thumbwheel rotatably in position. A wiper blade 32 carried on wheel 24 co-operates with the board 26. |
