The invention relates to a hand drill with cooling fan. In the case of such hand drills or hammer drills, soiling of the surrounding area occurs again and again during work, leading, especially in low-dust rooms, to laborious extra work. To avoid such extra work, a dust-collecting receptacle (3), which is airtight and of bellows-like design at least in the region of the drill bit (2), is therefore placed onto the drilling spindle (1) of the hand drill, which dust-collecting receptacle (3) is connected to a dust bag (5) detachably fastened to the machine housing (4). At the dust bag, the cooling fan integrated in the drill is used for extraction. As a result, the soiling of the surrounding area during drilling work is largely avoided without additional effort. <IMAGE>
