This invention aims at providing a candle in which the length of time between the starting of melting of the wax after the ignition of a wick and the emerging of a small article is short. An improvement in a candle, having wax of a predetermined shape, a wick provided in the wax with an ignition portion of the wick exposed to the outside, and a small article held in the interior of the wax, characterized in that the wax is formed to a body of a film having a hollow therein, the small article being placed on a bottom surface of the wax body, the wick being provided along the film.
