The butt-type pipe screw-connection exhibits a connection stub (1), a union nut (3) and a clamping ring (6) which exhibits, at its first end, a shoulder (8) and a radial clamping-ring sealing surface (9). Provided in the end side of the first clamping-ring end (6a), radially within the clamping-ring sealing surface (9), is an annular depression (10) for a first elastic seal (11) which extends radially outwards from the inner circumference of the shoulder (8) and, leaving an annular sealing border (12) enclosing the first seal (11), terminates at a distance from the outer circumference (6c) of the clamping ring (6). A second seal (14) is provided in the clamping ring (6). The entire region located between the two seals (11, 14) is lined with an elastic sealing layer (15) which, with the two seals (11, 14), forms a continuous, single-piece sealing arrangement (16). Arranged between the clamping ring (6) and the union nut (3) is a pressure-exerting ring (18) with an inner cone (19) acting on the second end (6b) of the clamping ring (6) and with a radial annular step (20) resting against the shoulder (4) of the union nut (3). <IMAGE>
