A filter wall or filter ceiling is presented and described for clean room systems, in particular in the area of microelectronics, nuclear power stations, the pharmaceutical and chemical industry or the like, having a supporting structure made of crossing profiles and a multiplicity of high-efficiency particulate filters on which are arranged surrounding seals pointing towards the supporting structure, which seals are pressed onto the profiles of the supporting structure using fastening devices. The object of the invention is therefore to create a filter wall or filter ceiling for clean room systems in which, even after a long operating time, the influx of unfiltered leakage streams into the clean room is prevented in a reliable manner. The solution of this object results from suction ducts being assigned to the seals on the clean air side, via which suction ducts the leakage air passing through the seals is continuously removed by suction and conducted away.
