Training range for alternative practice firing

The training range comprises a flat belt (3) which is directionally stable in the vertical direction and runs over a pulley (2) which is mounted at both ends of a frame (1). The speed of the belt can be varied and the rotation direction can be changed. A holder (16) is attached to the outside of the belt (3). A practice target (5) with a picture (24) of a clay pigeon, which is surrounded by a circle (25), is mounted removably in said holder (16) such that the angle of the practice target (5) with respect to the holder (16) can be varied. The height of the frame (1) above the ground and the inclination angle can be varied. Using a training range according to the invention makes possible realistic training using the techniques for clay-pigeon shooting as an alternative to actual clay-pigeon shooting on clay-pigeon ranges. The firing practices can be carried out using weapons with a relatively small bore (calibre), for example air guns. In consequence, noise emission and other environmental stresses are considerably reduced. <IMAGE>
