<p>Method for burning a premixed gas-air mixture by causing this mixture to flow out at a velocity greater than its burning velocity, adding further air (5a) to the mixture after it leaves the outlet aperture (5) and finally burning the thus lean mixture in flow direction at a distance outside the outlet aperture. A combustion with low flame temperature and little emission of harmful substances, in particular NOx, is thus realized in simple manner. Burner (1) for performing this method with flame stabilizing means (6) which are arranged in flow direction at a distance outside the outlet aperture (5) and which can for instance be formed by a bridge (8) spanning the outlet aperture (5) or a grid arranged above the outlet aperture (5).</p> |
