The invention relates to a plug coupling which can easily be fitted to a vehicle body and leads to no cable damage occurring. The plug socket has a plug socket housing (11) with a front socket part (13) and a rear socket part (14). When the plug socket is fitted to the vehicle body, it is easy to move the rear socket part (14) into position and it is in this way possible to improve the operating effectiveness. There is no necessity to instal a secondary cable harness. Since a transition section is provided in the plug socket housing (11), the electrical cables are not fractured or damaged during the installation work. <IMAGE>
