A ventilator element with base plate and tube is suitable for use both in steep-pitched roofs and in flat roofs, in the case of which ventilator element the base plate and the associated connection stub of the tube are of rectangular design, and in the case of which the connection stub is connected to the tube part via a pivot articulation, with the result that the described roof pitches between 0 and 60 DEG can be catered for. The ventilator element or the tube is attached by a plug-in connection which is not only simple, but is advantageously also water-tight, such that the necessary reliable sealing of the roof remains intact. <IMAGE>
