A relay is proposed having a housing which is in the form of a box and is open at the front in order to accommodate at least one printed circuit board on which the components of the relay are arranged. The housing is closed by a lid which is connected to it in a positively locking manner and in which the control elements for the various functions of the relay and/or the connecting terminals are accommodated. The connecting terminals are covered by a screw guide which is connected in a positively locking manner to the lid. The lid consists of at least two covers with defined dimensions with respect to one another and with respect to the housing. The screw guide is constructed as a strip in which a plurality of screw guide elements are firmly connected to one another. The covers are mechanically connected to one another by means of the screw guide strip and are held together by it. <IMAGE>
