The present invention relates to a golf ball (10) having one great circle (11) and four one-half great circles (13,14 16,17) intersecting no dimples in which eight end points (13a, b;14a,b;16a,b;17a,b) including two end points of each one-half great circle (13,14,16,17) do not coincide with each other on said great cicle (11), one of said one-half great circles (13, 16) intersecting the other one-half greeat circle at a right angles at the middle point (19,20) thereof on each side of said great circle (11). In one embodiment the dimples have vary volumes, so that dimples arranged in a zone close to the great circle (11) have a smaller volume than those dimples arranged in a zone further away from the great circle (11). <IMAGE> |
