<p>Foundry moulds and cores made from sodium silicate and silica sand mixture are hardened by carbon dioxide. Porous patterns are used for improved hardening of the moulds and cores. Gas reaches mould or core material readily through porous pattern or a pattern which has a large number of small drilled holes.</p> |
