PURPOSE:To enable the easy performance of ink-jet printing on a cloth not only by an industrial printer but also by a small-size printer for home use or private use. CONSTITUTION:A cloth 601 is subjected to stiffening treatment (11) using e.g. a sizing agent (12) to strengthen the stiffness of the cloth so as to increase transferability during printing process. Further, in order to level the wave or unevenness of the cloth caused by the treatment, the cloth is rolled and heated using a heating press roller 16. This enables the formation of a stable and even printing surface against an ink-jet head during printing process.
