<p>PURPOSE:To produce a molded styrene resin foam excellent in compression strength, elasticity such as recovery from compression set, and impact resistance and suitable for applications where elasticity and impact resistance are required, such as a cushioning material for packaging and a heat insulation material. CONSTITUTION:The title particles are based on a copolymer obtd. by the graft polymn. of a styrene monomer onto polybutadiene with a high cis content, contain n-pentane as the blowing agent, and give a molded foam with a density of 0.015-0.040g/cm<3>, an average cell size of 60-300mum, and a closed cell content of 50% or higher.</p> |
