PURPOSE:To provide a compact differential device at a low cost, which can obtain a secure differential limiting effect with the simple structure. CONSTITUTION:When a difference of rotation is generated between a pair of output shafts 10 provided opposite to each other on a core of a gear case 1, rotation of each shaft 10 are coupled by multiple ball grooves 10b and multiple balls 6 to be fitted therein, and a differential movement of each output shaft is achieved. At this stage, when the force for generating a difference of rotation in each output shaft is applied from the only one output shaft 10, in the other output shaft, since a ball 6 to be driven at the time of differential movement tries to make the ball groove 10b for driving the ball 6 follow the movement thereof, a reaction generated at this time works as a resistance to limit the differential movement of each output shaft 10.
