PURPOSE:To get in standby for a prescribed time, as occasion demands, at the time when a compressor is restarted, without necessitating an external timer, by attaching internal timers to a microcomputer controlling an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:A power source 12 is connected to a control wiring board 11, while a remote control unit 16 and a wiring board 17 for automatic recovery from a power failure are connected thereto through input terminals 14 and 15 respectively. A microcomputer 3 of an air conditioner has first and second timers 1 and 2 incorporated in this case. In the first timer 1, time counting for a prescribed time is started simultaneously when the power source 12 is made for the air conditioner. In the second timer 2, on the other hand, the time counting is ended simultaneously when the power source 12 is made for the air conditioner, and the time counting for a prescribed time is started simultaneously with a stop of operation of a compressor. The compressor is started in the case when an operation command signal is inputted to the remote input terminal 15 and when time counting operations of the first and second timers 1 and 2 are ended respectively.
