The adapter is to uses a tape reel with a magnet tape, an information storage unti, in a player and easily exchanges a tape reel, which differs by the forms of tape cassette that has the combination of a tape and a case. This device comprises a pair of tape reels (4) (4') each having a tape (3), a tape connecting unit which interconnects each other by separating the tape (3) from the pair of tape reels (4) (4'), an open and close unit which is to open one part of an adapter main frame (10), and a unit which makes the exchange of one of the pair of tape reels possible throgh the open and close unit.
