1,243,694. Supplying weft to shuttleless looms. MACHINEFABRIEK L. TE STRAKE N.V. 13 Sept., 1968 [15 Sept., 1967], No. 43780/68. Heading D1E. A weft supplying device comprises constantly rotating rollers 1, 2 to whose nip weft is supplied by a pivoted guide eye 3 which is adjustable along the rollers 1, 2 to vary the total amount of weft supplied and is also movable along the rollers by a cam 14 to vary the rate at which the weft is supplied during a cycle of loom operation, e.g. to supply the first leg of a weft hairpin at a faster rate than the second leg. The guide eye 3 is on a two piece lever 4a, 4b pivoted at 5 and having a friction grip pivot 7 which is connected to a lever 16 having at its other end a pivot 19 which is longitudinally adjustable so that such adjustment varies the stroke of the guide eye 3, when the lever 16 is pivoted by the cam 14 which acts on a plate 8 having a fixed pivot 9 and a pivot 15 attached to the mid point of the lever 16.
