PURPOSE:To provide an electronically controlled transmission, in which a shift drum can be arranged without lowering the lay-out performance of a transmission in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:A shift drum 8 of a shift mechanism for operating a speed change gear mechanism 3 through three shift rods 71, 72, 73 is arranged so as to be off-set to the left from the vertical surface, which includes both axes of a main shaft 45 and a counter shaft, in parallel with both the axes. A rack member 94 of a rack and pinion mechanism 90 for driving the shift drum 80 for rotation is arranged between the axis of the shift drum 80 and the axis of the main shaft 45 nearly in parallel with the vertical surface. |
