PURPOSE:To provide the thermal recording paper improved in curling habit after recording adapted to the small winding roll used in thermal recording apparatus such as a facsimile. CONSTITUTION:Thermal recording paper is obtained by forming a thermal recording layer containing a basic dye and a couple on the surface high in the degree of fiber orientation of raw paper wherein the difference in the degree of fiber orientation between the upper and rear surfaces of the raw paper (the raw paper is divided into two layers to be measured by a microwave type molecular orientation meter) is 0.02 or more. This thermal recording paper is improved in curling of cut paper after recording and the paper stocking of the cut paper storing part of recording apparatus is smoothly performed and the cut paper after recording becomes easy to handle. |
