PURPOSE:To provide a welded joint and a connecting method thereof which can adjust uniformly easily a gap between the inner surface of a socket and the outer surface of a pipe, hold the pipe inserted in the socket not to be drawn out and prevent the pipe from being damaged by an antidrawing-out means when the pipe is inserted in the socket. CONSTITUTION:A set of four push bolts 5 (press means) are circumferentially disposed in a cold zone C at the socket inlet side of a welded joint 1 and when the push bolt 7 is rotated and moved up and down, a rubber plate applied to a holding plate 8 at the tip of the push bolt set 5 is moved up and down relative to the inner surface of the socket 2. After the push bolt set 5 are moved upward and a pipe is inserted in the socket 2, the push bolt set 5 is moved down to press the outer surface of the pipe, adjust uniformly a gap between the inner surface of the socket and the outer surface of the pipe and prevent the pipe from being drawn out. |
