PURPOSE:To provide a denitration catalyst for catalytic reduction of NOx in waste gas with a reducing agent such as ammonia. CONSTITUTION:This denitration catalyst contains titanium-tungsten oxide obtd. by coprecipitating a soluble titanium compd. and a soluble tungsten compd. in an aq. medium at <=60 deg.C and pH5-8, drying and firing the resulting coprecipitate or this catalyst contains the titanium-tungsten oxide and oxide of at least one kind of element selected from among Ce, La, Pr, Nd, Ni and Sn. This catalyst is excellent in denitration activity in a high temp. region and durability. |
