摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To eliminate unevenness among charge volumes of intake-air into engine cylinders and to make the device body compact in the widthwise direction thereof while enhancing the efficiency of charge of intake-air by specifying the shape and arrangement structure of independent intake passages, and by communicating the merging parts of the intake passages with a container. CONSTITUTION:Independent intake passages 4 are formed so as to have an equal length, and are communicated at their downstream ends with their respective engine cylinders, and merges together at their upstream end by means of a collecting pipe. In this case, the upstream parts of the intake passages 4 are extended in parallel with the direction of the row of the engine cylinders on one of the left and right sides of the latter, as viewed in the direction of the row of the engine cylinders. A curved part 4a by which each of the intake passages changes its direction so that the downstream part thereof is extended from the outside to the engine 1, is formed in the intermediate part of the intake passage. Further, the center link line T of this intake passage 4 is inclined outward by a predetermined angle theta with respect to the cylinder row line Ta. Further, a resonance chamber 13 as a container communicated with the collecting pipe 5 through a communication passage 19, is located on the outside of the curved part 4a.</p>
