PURPOSE:To provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming an image of high quality enhanced in printing density. CONSTITUTION:A columnar rear electrode roller is arranged on the upper side of an aperture electrode element 1 in a revolvable manner and the toner carrying roller of a toner supply device is arranged on the lower side of the aperture electrode element 1 along the longitudinal direction of the aperture electrode element 1. Two aperture rows are formed to the aperture electrode element 1 and control electrodes 4 are formed on the upper surface of the aperture electrode element 1 at the opening peripheral edge parts of respective apertures. Since either one of voltages of +40V, +45V, +50V is applied to the control electrodes 4 on the downstream side in the toner feed direction of the aperture electrode element 1, that is, the even number-th control electrodes 4 corresponding to the state of the applied voltage of the control electrodes on the upstream side of the aperture electrode element 1, that is, the odd number-th control electrodes 4, toner passes through the upstream and downstream aperture rows in equal quantity and an image free from density irregularity can be formed. |
