POWDER FOR ELECTROVISCOUS LIQUID AND ELECTROVISCOUS LIQUID USING THE POWDER

PURPOSE:To provide powder for an electroviscous liquid use exhibiting high electroviscous effect at a low electric power demand through a wide temperature range and a non-aqueous electroviscous liquid using the powder having a low initial viscosity and high electrovlscous effect. CONSTITUTION:Powder for an electroviscous liquid use is composed of carbonaceous powder and has spherical shape, in which each deviation of the maximum diameter and the minimum diameter of a powder from the average diameter is optionally within 30% of the average diameter. The objective electroviscous liquid is obtained by dispersing the powder in an oily medium having electrical insulating property.
