PURPOSE:To obtain a gear made of synthetic resin, which may be mounted on a fixing device or a developing device for an electronic photographing device and provided with resistance to heat while capable of being driven with low noise and developing resistance to abrasion stably under the using condition of long period of time. CONSTITUTION:A gear, made of synthetic resin and on which a sintered film is formed, is manufactured by a method wherein the powder of polytetrafluoroethylene, having the number-average molecular weight of 100,000-1,000,000, is applied on the meshing surface of a gear made of synthetic resin consisting of polyphenylene sulfide resin filled with fibrous reinforcing material such as glass fiber and the like and the powder is heated for 8 hours at a temperature lower than the melting point of the synthetic resin or 23O deg.C, for example. |
