PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recorder for recording a stable image having no discharge malfunction and discharge for a long period by providing wiping delay means for delaying start of winding operation at the time of operating a wiping member. CONSTITUTION:Print control means 11 starts printing upon reception of a print command, a number-of-print digit counter is reset, and started. Wiping operation command means 122 sends a winding command to the means 11 and wiping control means 13 when a number-of-digit counter value N becomes larger than set number-of-print digit NWIP during print continuing. The means 11 which receives it is interrupted for wiping. Simultaneously, the count start command is sent to a wiping wait timer 141, reset, and starts counting. The means 122 sends the wiping start command to the means 12 when the wiping wait timer value T is larger than a set wiping wait value TWIP, and the means 13 drives a carriage, a wiping member to conduct wiping. |
