PRODUCTION OF CAST COATED PAPER FOR INK JET RECORDING, CAST COATED PAPER AND RECORDING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain cast coated paper for ink jet recording having especially excellent blank surface glossiness and excellent ink jet recording (printing) aptitude. CONSTITUTION:Cast coated paper is produced by applying a coating soln. containing a polymer with a glass transition point of 40 deg.C or higher obtained by polymerizing a monomer having an ethylenic unsaturated bond to raw paper having an undercoating layer containing pigment and an adhesive as principal components and provided thereto to form a cast coating layer and bringing the cast coating layer into contact with a heated mirror surface drum under pressure to dry the same.
