摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a polyethylene having uniform quality and high molecular weight without necessitating deashing process because of remarkably high catalytic activity by (co)polymerizing ethylene using a specific Ziegler-type catalyst at a temperature above the melting point of the produced polymer. CONSTITUTION:Ethylene or ethylene and other alpha-olefin are (co)polymerized at a temperature above the melting point of the resultant polymer by using a catalyst consisting of a uniform solution containing Ti-Mg and obtained from (A) metallic magnesium, (B) an oxygen-containing organic compound of Ti (e.g. titanium tetrabutoxide) and (C) an alcohol containing >=1mol of a <=6C alcohol (e.g. 2-ethylhexanol) based on 1mol of the component A and (D) a halogen-containing organic Al compound (e.g. ethylaluminum sesquichloride). The uniform solution containing Ti-Mg is preferably produced by suspending the component A in the component B and dropping the component C to the suspension. |
