PURPOSE:To obtain a tray for sintering of a carbide chip having satisfactory durability by using a carbon substrate contg. Al2O3. CONSTITUTION:This tray for sintering of a carbide chip is made of a carbon substrate uniformly contg. Al2O3 filled into the pores in the carbon base material. Since the carbon substrate does not react with Co, Ni, etc., contained in an unsintered carbide product and the filled Al2O3 does not peel off, this tray can be used for sintering over a long period of time without requiring coating with alumina powder every time sintering is finished. In order to incorporate Al2O3 into the base material, an aq. Al salt soln. is impregnated into the base material under reduced pressure or under reduced pressure-elevated pressure and heat treatment is carried out. |
